Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy, or CST, is a gentle hands-on treatment to relieve various symptoms, including headaches and neck pain. In addition to relieving tension in the central nervous system, CST may help reduce the pain caused by multiple other symptoms. The membranes and movement of fluids in and around the central nervous system are examined with a light touch. It relieves the tension and improves health and immunity, resulting in well-being with little to no pain.

What to expect from Craniosacral Therapy

The initial consultation with your trained therapist will begin with them asking you questions and taking notes about the painful spots on your body. The therapist starts the treatment by using light pressure techniques on your face. This helps them determine whether there are disruptions or restrictions amongst the fascial system that could inhibit you from completely feeling your absolute best. This technique gently releases restrictions and allows for optimal fluid movement. The result is a deep sense of calm, well-being, and increased self-awareness and clarity.

CST can benefit almost anyone. However, there are a few conditions under which CST may not be appropriate, and you need to talk with your practitioner for specific concerns you may have. Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that can be useful in relieving chronic pain, headaches, TMJ Dysfunction, emotional trauma, and stress-related dysfunctions.
